About Me
Graduated in Experimental Psychologist and specialized in Human Memory, Joana Vieira is CCG’s Usability Analyst. She is currently taking a PhD in Ergonomics at the Faculty of Human Kinetics on the subject of auditory warning signals in hospitals. Her research interests are in the area of human factors of auditory warnings, psychoacoustics, auralized sound, sound design and sonification using UCD methods, and the usability of all types of interfaces. Previous work includes research with guessability methods, usability, olfactory perception, and more recently, Kansei engineering. She is a researcher at the research centre of Architecture, Urbanism and Design (CIAUD) from University of Lisbon's Faculty of Architecture (FA-ULisboa). At the UMinho she is a researcher at the ALGORITMI Research Center in the “Industrial Engineering and Management (IEM)” research line, group of “Ergonomics and Human Factors”.
