Ana Medeiros is an elementary teacher, Master in Child Studies/Associativism and Socio-Cultural Animation, and currently a PhD student in Educational Sciences/Educational Technology at the University of Minho. Since an early stage she has been addressing project-centered learning, learning spaces, and student creativity and autonomy.
Over time, interest arose over the development and use of technologies to support learning. Since 2011, she has been focused on interface design for children, and has been collaborating in projects, using participatory methods, implementing and co-designing with children in order to conceptualize, develop and evaluate digital artifacts.
Engaging kids is the title of her PhD study. It aims to study and achieve innovative ways of learning literacy through digital practices, with and among children.
She currently lives in Oporto with her husband and two children.
