About Me
Mafalda Gonçalves is a Ph.D. student at the Centre for Mechanical Technology and Automation (TEMA) at the University of Aveiro. In the broad mechanical engineering field, her research focuses on the design of mechanical tests for material characterization and model calibration procedures. Her work reflects her interests in the design by topology optimization, the finite element method and numerical simulation and optimization techniques. Mafalda has presented her work at more than 10 conferences and contributed to the field with publications in 5 international journals. She has a MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering (2020) and continues her academic journey as a student in the Doctoral Program in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Aveiro.
