About Me 
Luís Barros was born in Guimarães, Portugal, in 1992. He completed his master's degree in Industrial Electronic Engineering, at the University of Minho, Portugal, in December 2016, with the work consisted of the study and development of a new topology for a microinverter with an energy storage system for solar photovoltaic applications. In May 2023, he completed his Ph.D. with the work carried out related to the study and development of power electronics converters, with an interface with a battery energy storage system and a solar photovoltaic system, for the railway electrical system. In early 2017 he started his research activity at Centro ALGORITMI, University of Minho, Portugal, and has also been an Invited Professor at the Department of Industrial Electronics since September 2017. He has published 9 articles in specialized journals, 4 articles in book chapters, and 11 articles in international conferences. He received 2 prizes and honors, concerning the best paper of the SESC conference and the Top 21 Projects in the Texas Instruments Innovation Challenge European Design Contest 2016 (Top 7 in the Industrial category). In his professional activities, he interacted with 20 collaborators (s) in co-authoring scientific works.
