About Me
Pedro Guimarães (PG) is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Coimbra and a researcher at the Coimbra Institute for Biomedical Imaging and Translational Research. He completed his Msc in Biomedical Engineering in 2011 at the University of Coimbra, Portugal; and was granted a European Marie Curie PhD scholarship completing his PhD in Information Engineering in 2017 at the University of Padova, Italy. PG background is in biomedical image and data processing and analysis. His research activities focus on the development and application of state-of-the-art machine learning approaches in search for novel biomarkers of disease.
